METHOD FOR PREPARING MARBLING PATTERN AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a marble pattern by using a computer. SOLUTION: An original picture M(0) constituted by arraying picture elements P on a plane is prepared (S10). Then, scalar values continuously changing on the same plane are defined so that a continuous scalar field F is prepared (S20). The original picture M(0) is defined as a first picture M(i) to be stirred (S30), and a stirring processing (S40) for moving each picture element of the picture M(i) to be stirred and obtaining a stirred picture M(i+1) is repeatedly executed total (n) times by using the stirred picture as a new picture to be stirred (S50), and the finally obtained stirred picture M(n+1) is outputted as a marbling pattern. The stirring processing is executed by making each picture element P constituting the picture to be stirred correspond to each scalar value S defined in the scalar field F based on a spatial position relation, and deciding the moving distance and moving direction of the picture elements constituting the picture to be stirred based on the corresponded scalar values.
