Sensor device depends on the measurement of the angular displacement of a rotating element connected to an elongated element connected between two parts of a car seat that are displaced relative to each other when the car seat is moved. Device (1) determines the relative position of a first member (3) of a car seat relative to a second member (5), where their displacement is along a path (C). It comprises a sensor (9) fixed to the first member. The sensor has a rotating element (11) and an elongated element (7) connected to the second member and having a length (L) equal to the length (C) of the path. The elongated element serves to turn the rotating element when there is a relative movement of the two members. A calculation unit (21) uses the angular displacement of the rotating element (11) to determine a relative displacement of the two members (3,5). The elongated element has a helical portion that acts as a guide for the rotating element, which has an opening (19) complementary to the shape of the elongated element. |
