PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of stress in the end part of an endless belt and to prevent its damage by providing a roller for pressing the endless belt and the flange parts of rollers for extending/supporting the endless belt. SOLUTION: This endless belt driving device is provided with the transfer belt (endless belt) 81, at least two rollers 82... for extending/supporting the belt 81, the flange parts 82a disposed on both ends of at least one roller 82 and the roller 87 for pressing the belt 81 and the flange parts 82a. In the case the height of the flange parts 82a and the thickness of the belt 81 have the same dimension, when the belt 81 receives force biased in the direction of an arrow A, the end part of the belt 81 is held by the roller 87. In this holding part, frictional force is developed so that the biased force is relieved by the frictional force. Further, the holding part is surrounded in three directions by the driving roller 82, the flange parts 82a and the roller 87, so that apparent rigidity becomes high and the occurrence of the waving of the end part of the belt 81 is suppressed. |
