PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for a plastic optical fiber of high connection strength with simple structure without affecting a coated fiber. SOLUTION: A ferrule is provided with a small hole 2 extending in the direction of the optical axis which stores a coated fiber 8 of an optical fiber 7 at a tip part, a medium hole 3 extending in the direction of a rear end which is continuous to the small hole 2 and stores a primary sheath 9, a large hole 3 extending in the direction of a rear end which is continuous to the medium hole 3 and stores a secondary sheath 10, a clawshaped belt 6 on a stepped surface between the medium hole 3 and the large hole 4 which is continuous to an inner circumferential surface of the medium hole 3 and projected in the direction of the large hole 4, and a plurality of ribs 5 extending in the direction of the optical axis on an inner circumferential surface of the large hole 4. |
