PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send simultaneously a moving image and a still image with high image quality through the use of a transmission line at a comparatively low speed by dividing the still image into lots of images, inserting each of the divided still images into a moving image data stream and transmitting the moving image and the high image quality still image in a form of the data stream. SOLUTION: In the case of synthesizing moving image data and still image data, a part of data configuring a high image quality still image is segmented and partial data B1, B2,... of the high image quality still image are inserted one by one to moving image data A1, A2,... of a moving image data stream to form one data stream. Then the transmission is controlled so that the partial data B1, B2,... do not give effect on transmission of the moving image. Thus, moving image data roughly indicating a motion and high image quality still image data capable of indicating detailed parts for each prescribed period are transmitted as one data stream. |
