Inductive signal transmission element

A process is claimed for production of inductive signal transmission elements for incorporation in elastomeric transport or storage equipment, the element consisting of an electrically conductive woven fabric in the form of a flat polygonal frame which transmits or emits electromagnetic radiation from and to stationary equipment. The novelty is that the element consists of a continuous piece cut out from a woven fabric of wires, braids, cables, strips, fibres, yarns or the like of high tensile strength material such as steel (1, 3), titanium, carbon fibre yarn, synthetic fibres or the like, optionally interwoven with conductive material such as nickel, aluminium (2, 4) or plastics which have been made conductive. Also claimed is a signal transmission element produced by the above process.
