PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generating device by which a charging part can be charged even when an electromotive voltage generating in a power generating coil is too low to exceed the charging voltage of the charging part. SOLUTION: This power generating device is provided with a power generator 10 for converting kinetic energy into electric energy, a switching part 20 which can short-circuit output terminals 19a and 19b of the power genertaor 10, a control part 30 for controlling the switching part 20, a rectifying part 2 for rectifying the output of the power generator 10, and a charging part 4 for accumulating the output of the power generator 10. The control part 30 can perform chopper controlling of turning ON/OFF the switching part 20 cyclically by a PWM signal, and even when the electromotive voltage Vg of the power generator 10 is lower than the charging voltage Vsc, a step-up voltage Vup can be obtained by chopper controlling, and further, even if the electromotive voltage Vg is low, the charging part 4 can be charged when the boosting voltage Vup is sufficiently high. |
