The trigger mechanism has a housing (2), a trigger lever (3) and an elbow mechanism which for its part consists of two elbow joint levers (13,14). The first of these levers is rotatably located in the housing and the second is fitted in the housing and is subjected to the pressure force. The elbow joint (17) formed by the two levers causes an elbow joint spring (18) to stretch. The second elbow joint lever has a securing lug formation (15). The trigger lever has a securing piece (8), on which the securing lug formation supports when the striker spring is tensioned. Both elbow joint levers, when the striker spring (29) is tensioned, enclose an obtuse angle (40) between them. When the trigger lever is operated, they enclose a smaller such angle.
