HYDROSILATED CRYSTALLINE HIGH TRANS POLYBUTADIENE WITH SILICA FILLER, TIRES HAVING A BASE OF SAID COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PREPARING SAME

摘要

Novel silicon-containing derivatives of crystalline, high-trans-1,4 polybutadien e in which organosilicon-containing groups are bonded to the 1 ,2-vinyl carbon atoms along the main chain of the butadiene polymers through the carbon-silicon linkages. These derivatives of butadiene polymers are produced by the addition reaction of an organosilicon compound having one hydrogen atom directly bonded to the silicon a tom in the molecule to the double bonds in the 1,2-vinyl group butadiene polymers. Thes e derivatives having good compatability with siliceous fillers and when blended wi th filled diene rubbers are cured to elastomer compositions having excellent properties su itable for the production of tires.
