FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining age, measuring refraction, intraocular pressure, distance between orbit wall and eyeball sclera, determining volume of medical preparation to be introduced into interfacial space. Operation effectiveness is calculated from empiric formula: E=0.5(P+1.1*V*(0.042*X+0.59)- 0.8)*(0.025*N+0.8)* (0.022*T+ 0.288), where N the number of incisions, P is the intraocular pressure before operation, in mm of mercury column, T is the age in years, X is the minimum distance from orbit wall to eyeball sclera in mm, V is the volume of drug to be introduced, E is the operation effectiveness in diopters. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of prognosis.
