PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new modified primer comprising an oligonucleotide having a specific molecular structure, high in nucleic acid amplification, hardly causing a contamination of a primer dimer, etc., and useful for a polymerase chain reaction(PCR), etc. SOLUTION: This modified primer is a new oligonucloctide of formulas I S1 is the first sequence having about 5-50 nucleotide lengths; N is a nucleotide containing an amine without a ring, and containing purine or pyrimidine base; R is a modifier group covalently bonded to N through the before amine without the ring and is a group of formula II [R1 and R2 are each H, a 1-10C alkyl, an alkoxy, a (substituted) phenyl, a (substituted) phenoxy, etc.]} or formula III (S2 is the second sequence having one to three nucleotide lengths). The modified primer can be used for a nucleic acid amplification reaction such as a polymerase chain reaction(PCR) capable or improving the yield of nucleic acid amplification and reducing the formation of a contaminant such as a primer dimer. |
