PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of providing films excellent in processability and stable in quality, by controlling the size distribution of particles in an aromatic polyamide composition. SOLUTION: This composition contains 30 or less wt.% of the particles having a diameter exceeding 3A (μm), when the average diameter of particles contained in the composition is expressed by A (μm). The particles to be added to the composition are preferably inorganic particles, cross-linked organic particles and the like, and the average primary diameter of the particles is preferably between 0.005μm and 5μm. The content of the particles is preferably between 0.001% and 10% based on the aromatic polyamide. Thus, small-sized and thinned films can be provided.
