PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine color shift without requiring any special measurement by selecting a gray patch not based on the measurements of shift of elementary colors but based on the effect of the elementary colors on the gray patch when a component data is shifted. SOLUTION: A computer 21 constituting an image processor comprising a hard disc 22 storing a color shift regulation program for modifying the lookup table of a printer driver by deciding color shift and the program can be executed as required. When a gray patch is selected from a custom A pattern by a user and inputted, the computer 21 decides a colorless ID based on the symbol of the inputted gray patch and determines a candidate of lookup table to be corrected from the ID. In the next step, total 27 gray scale patterns are printed using the candidate of lookup table to be corrected.
