The saw has a circular blade driven by an electric motor, which via a pivot arm can be guided through an opening in a workpiece locating surface of a pivot table. The pivot table (2) is pivotable around a bearing bolt (3) on a base (4) and can be secured in the adjusted pivot position by securing devices (43). The bearing bolt is formed as a hollow shaft and is connected to the inner space of the pivot table housing (2). The hollow shaft (3) is connected via a union (50) to a suction device. In the inner space of the pivot table housing at least one flow guiding wall is provided for improving the expulsion of sawdust. On the bearing bolt on the side of the base turned away from the pivot table a gearwheel (39) is non-rotatably fixed. The gearwheel can be controllably driven by an electric motor (42) accommodated in the base.
