The system consists of two or more inverted L-section beams (3) lying parallel to one another, perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the truck and let into its floor (4). It also has two or more lengthwise load-fixing members (15) of similar cross-section, mounted on top of the beams and locked in the required position to immobilise the transported load. When not in use the lengthwise members can be stowed at the sides of the truck.
