PROCESS OF BIOLOGICAL DECONTAMINATION OF MATERIAL POLLUTED WITH DEGRADABLE ORGANIC SUBSTANCES AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING THE SAME

A process is disclosed for the decontamination of wastes or residues from residential and industrial areas, e.g. industrial sludges. The metal-containing materials are mixed with activated sludge, e.g. sewage sludge, and the reaction product undergoes further processing, the metal component being recyclable.
