PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to insert a TTI catheter larger than the internal diameter of a guide pipe. SOLUTION: The catheter 100 has a practically tubular body 110 having an external diameter almost the same as the size of the internal diameter of a guide pipe 160 that is adapted so as to insert a part of the catheter 100 into the body of a patient and a transition member 130 adjoining the first end of the tubular body. The transition member 130 has an external diameter smaller than the external diameter of the tubular body 110 and smaller than the internal diameter of the bore of the guide pipe 160. The transition member 130 is joined to the end of the tubular body 110 or extended through the tubular body 110 and taken out from the terminal of the tubular body 110.
