PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber compsn. for tire treads which is used for producing tires having sufficient abrasion resistance and excellent wet grip properties. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. rubber component contg. at least 50 pts.wt. styrene-butadiene rubber and 5-30 pts.wt. isoprene rubber with 100-250 pts.wt. filler and 15-50 pts.wt. low-solidification-point plasticizer. The styrene-butadiene rubber is one obtd. by soln. polymn. and contains at least 30 wt.% styrene units, and at least 30% of double bonds of the butadiene units are present in vinyl groups. At least 70% of double bonds of the isoprene rubber are present in isopropenyl groups and/or vinyl groups. The filler contains 50-150 pts.wt. silica as the essential ingredient. The plasticizer is one comprising at least on compd. selected from among adipic acid derivs., sebacic acid derivs., and phosphoric acid derivs. |
