<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator which is a self-propelled type and moved vertically through a rope by providing a driving sieve and a main driving part in an elevator car and connecting the elevator to a pair of fixing ropes tense by extended outside of the car and then driving it. SOLUTION: An elevator car 10 comprises driving sieves 32 and 33 which are driven respectively by main driving parts 40 and 42. The driving sieves 32 and 33 are connected to corresponding fixing ropes 12 and 20, these fixing ropes 12 and 20 are in turn fixed to the upper end fixing points 28 and 30 of a hoistway and drooped therefrom in a vertical lower direction. The ropes 12 and 20 are wound on parts in the vicinity of the lower end parts of the corresponding sieves 32 and 34, also wound in the vicinity of the upper ends of the sieves made to be a pair, then drooped in a lower direction, weights 36 and 38 are attached to the lower ends thereof and tensile forces are added. During running, the driving sieves 32 and 34 are rotated, a car room 10 is moved in translation and then moved vertically in the hoistway.</p> |
