PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip resistor in which stable resistance value characteristics are obtained. SOLUTION: By forming excess-glass layers 1a and 2a on an interface part between an insulating element 1 and a resistance film 2 containing glass component, adhesive force of the resistance film 2 for the insulating element 1 is raised by the excess-glass layers 1a and 2a. Thereby, resistance film 2 is peeled from the insulating element 1 by changing temperature and humidity and adding impact from the outside, to solve imperfection such as fluctuation of a resistance value and short circuit. Thereby, chip resistor of high reliability is provided.
