<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of an event that transmission to all ports is tentatively stopped or to reduce the occurrence of an event that transmission is stopped over a long time. SOLUTION: The switching hub is provided with ports 15a-15d, a buffer 13 that is in use in common by the ports, network I/F sections 22a-22d connecting to each of the ports 15a-15d and making communication control and a switching section that selectively connects any of the network I/F sections 22a-22d to the buffer 13, and also with a data amount monitor section 30 that sets three threshold levels (th1<th2<th3) in response to a data amount of the buffer 13, sets transmission stop times T/4, T/2, T for each threshold level and transmits the transmission by the transmission stop time in response to a level exceeding the threshold levels.</p> |
