PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the work load of a system main body side wile processing the information stored in a recording medium and to manage and control external system devices by integrating the medium and the applicable electronic circuits for the medium. SOLUTION: An intelligent DVD 2 is constructed by pasting an information recording surface 30, on which information is recorded, and an electronic circuit mounting surface 20. The surface 30 is one surface of an optical disk or a magneto-optical disk, for example. The control circuit including a CPU 21, a ROM 22, a RAM 23, a power supply 24, a bus 25 and an interface circuit 26, for example, is mounted on a part of the surface 20. By standardizing the interface to the periphery of the hardware and replacing the standard input output system(BIOS) of a conventional system program(OS), a data processing device 11 is treated and controlled as peripheral devices looking from the DVD 2. |
