<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high housing efficiency magnetic tape library device by providing an exclusive cartridge tape housing shelves at every kind of cartridge tape with different shapes and providing a main body frame fitting plural pieces of them to a panel or the housing shelves housing two volumes or above of cartridge tapes in the depth direction of one housing shelf. SOLUTION: Plural pieces of housing shelves 3 are fitted to the panel 6, and several pieces of panels 6 are fitted to a side wall surface or both wall surfaces. The housing shelves are awaited by several kinds at every kind of cartridge tape 2 with different shapes, and the housing shelves 3 of a unified kind at every panel 6 are fitted, and the cartridge tapes 2 of the unified kind at every panel 6 are housed. A magnetic tape device is constituted so that several kinds of magnetic devices are mounted so that the recording/reproducing of the housed cartridge tapes 2 becomes possible, and an automatic transfer mechanism pulls out the cartridge tape 2 from the housing shelf 3 to transfer it to the magnetic tape device, and the recording/reproducing is performed.</p> |
