PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify the type of service in the early stage of data transmission by decoding bit strings in the same bit positions of respective packets in an interleaving direction when the value of an identification bit is valid when interleaving is executed and data is transmitted in the same bit positions of the respective packets. SOLUTION: In a TV data multiplex broadcasting sound auxiliary carrier system, one data packet is constituted of a service identification mode control MC, a prefix PF, service data DAT and an error correction check code bit CHC. Interleaving is executed in a vertical direction in the same bit positions of the respective packets and data is transmitted after a frame synchronizing signal is transmitted. When the identification bit is valid, the bit strings of the same bit positions of the respective packets are decoded in the interleaving direction. Thus, a data identification part is effectively used and the type of service can be specified in the early stage of data transmission. Then, the method can be employed in the various services which are expected in future. |
