<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately execute polishing by monitoring RM cells flowing in from an ATM switch, performing preparation for setting a transfer rate changed by a terminal to a polishing parameter and setting the monitoring parameter of polishing at the timing of receiving ACK RM cells flowing in from a line direction. SOLUTION: For an ATM cell from the ATM switch detected by an RM cell extraction, circuit 107, a rate extraction circuit 108 calculates a monitoring rate and outputs it to a polishing parameter change circuit 105. A physical layer terminating circuit 103 turns data from a line to cells, an ACK ROM cell detection circuit 104 detects the ACK RM cells from them and outputs them to the change circuit 105 along with polishing parameter change signals. A polishing circuit 106 monitors the flow-in speed of the cells from the line to the ATM switch and abandons the cells violating specification by the change setting of the change circuit 105. Thus, the transmission rate change of a terminal is accurately recognized on a network side.</p> |
