<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the resonance effect and to improve the sound quality by putting a recessed part onto a pedestal and fixing it to the pedestal with screw members which engages with screws. SOLUTION: The thumb rest main body 1 has four screw holes 2a to 2d and four screw members 3a to 3d and the recessed part is put onto the pedestal for thumb rest fixation of the saxophone main body. To fit the thumb rest to the saxophone main body, the elastic thumb rest is detached from the saxophone main body and the pedestal is exposed. Then the pedestal is inserted into the recessed part 5 of the thumb rest main body 1 to cover the pedestal with the thumb rest, and the screw members 3a to 3d are inserted into the screw holes 2a to 2d to fix the thumb rest main body 1 to the pedestal. At the time, the screw members 3a to 3d are put in and out according to player's operation and the fitting position of the thumb rest main body 1 can finely be adjusted vertically and horizontally and in the front and rear directions.</p> |
