PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high speed conversion in a processing for a memory access and to reduce a circuit scale by densely arranging the respective coordinate areas of texture mapping and expressing an ideal coordinate by means of the positions coordinate of densely arranged areas. SOLUTION: A data converting device is constituted of an address generation and arithmetic control part 11, a textuer pattern memory 12 and a data arithmetic part 13. The actual coordinate of the texture pattern to be read is decided from the ideal coordinate in the texture pattern of picture data to be used in the display picture. Simple interpolating calculation is selected by the ideal coordinate. Then, simple interpolating calculation consisting of addition and bit shift calculation, where a read color value (color and luminance) is designated, is executed. Therefore, expression is more correctly executed as compared with expression in an original coordinate area and also a multiplier for executing multiplication in order to obtain correctness is unnecessitated. The number of the access times of the texture pattern memory 12 is reduced. |
