The door presser is subsequently fitted, without screws of adhesive, on the hinge. It comprises a torsion spring which under tension is pushed over the uppermost cylinder part, with one arm set against the stationary surface, preferably a wall, and the other arm is set against the door. The torsion spring is made of spring steel with a rectangular wire cross-section, in order to develop an adequate spring force in the limited space around the hinge. The door presser can be fitted on doors rotating to the left and to the right. In both spring arms is a bend, which ensures that the spring alone presses with the outer end of the spring arms against the door and the stationary surface.
