Lock apparatus (10) for a door (12) of a cabinet (14), including a bolt (24) attached to a rotatable cam (26), the bolt (24) being arranged for generally linear movement into and out of a first recess (32) in a frame (34) of a door (12) of a cabinet (14) upon suitable rotation of the cam (26), a stub (40) extending generally perpendicularly from a surface (42) of the cam (26), and a key-operated cylinder lock (20) having a rotatable plug (44) and operable to bring a locking tongue (50) into and out of locking engagement with a second recess (52) in the frame (34) of the cabinet (14), the locking tongue (50), when in locking engagement with the second recess (52), being positioned to prevent movement of the stub (40) past the locking tongue (50), thereby to prevent rotation of the cam (26). |
