The invention relates to a device for observing vessels, specially blood vessels, in bodily cavities and hollow organs, comprising an ultrasonic transducer (14) which can be moved into an observation position by means of an endoscopic device (10, 12), in addition to an ultrasonic unit (34) which can be connected to the ultrasonic transducer operating according to the Doppler principle. Said unit is designed to detect organ and/or liquid movement, at least at a given distance from the ultrasonic transducer. The inventive device also contains a Doppler evaluation unit (38) located downstream from the ultrasonic unit (34) which digitally converts an output signal from the ultrasonic unit (34) into a visual representation of the organ and/or liquid movement, at least at a given distance. Said inventive device further includes a video output unit (40) receiving an output signal from the Doppler evaluation unit (38) and an electronic video signal from the endoscopic device (12) to produce a combined overall image (24) for a display screen showing an endoscopic image (26) and at least one representation (28) of said organ and/or liquid movement.
