<p>The invention relates to a station (1), in the embodiment a discharge station, for the transfer of flowable material, in the embodiment particulate material such as a powder from one location to another, comprising a conduit, or hopper (2), for the flowable material, a member (3) adapted for obturating and opening the conduit (2) for controlling flow of material therethrough, and a device (4) for cleaning at least an external surface of the obturating member (3) whereby to obviate contamination of the surroundings of the station (1) with flowable material.</p> |
