PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic premix which has a short thickening time and excellent handleability and moldability and to provide an acrylic artificial marble with a marble texture having a clear surface appearance. SOLUTION: This premix contains an acrylic syrup (A) consisting of methyl methacrylate alone or a monomer mixture mainly comprising it (a) and polymethyl methacrylate or a polymer formed mainly from methyl methacrylate (b), an inorg. filler (B), resin particles contg. an inorg. filler (C), and a noncross- linked polymer powder (D) having a bulk density of 0.1-0.7 g/ml, a linseed oil absorption of 60-200 ml/100g, and a swellability by methyl methacrylate of 1,600 vol.% or higher. The acrylic artificial marble with a marble texture is produced by thermally curing the premix under presure. |
