PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a fibrillated spun yarn having uniform fibrils like peach skin, good in touch feeling, excellent in water-absorptivity, dimension stability and crease resistance by carrying out mercerization treatment of a cellulose fiber spun yarn obtained by solvent spinning and treating the mercerization- treated yarn under a specific condition. SOLUTION: A cellulose fiber spun yarn obtained by a solvent spinning, or a spun yarn having a polyester fiber at the core part and the cellulose fiber obtained by the solvent spinning at the sheath part is subjected to a mercerization treatment, knitted into a knitted fabric by a single feed of the treated yarn, forming fibrils by stirring and rubbing the knitted fabric in a wetted and relaxed state, and thereafter unknitting the knitted fabric to provide the objective fibrillated spun yarn. |
