PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cement having heat insulating and fire-resisting activities, against high temp. and to reduce the production cost by adding a heat insulating and fire-resisting ceramic fiber bulk into a cement prepared by mixing a silica based refractory cement, diatomaceous earth, kaoline and alumina, kneading the mixture with water and after that, applying it and molding. SOLUTION: The cement is obtained by mixing 10-40 g diatomaceous earth, 20-50 g kaoline and 20-50 g alumina with 100 g silica based refractory cement having the indication of 1300 deg.C fire resistance. The cement is mixed with 5-20 g heat insulating and fire resisting ceramic fiber bulk per 100 g silica based refractory cement, kneaded the mixture with an adequate quantity of water added and applied it on a brick, a metallic part, a wooden part or the like in building material and molded. As a result, a base material is improved in heat insulating effect caused by the foaming when heating the base material at a high temp. and is protected from firing, softening, explosion, deterioration or the like caused by a high temp. |
