A diversity device is provided with detecting sections which output received phase data on each symbol by using a reference carrier reproduced from the signals received by means of a plurality of receiving systems, synthesizing sections which synthesize the I- and Q-components of the received phase data, and a judging section which demodulates digital symbol data from the synthesized I- and Q-components. The detection sections reproduce the reference carrier from the received signals by referring to the symbol data obtained from the synthesized I- and Q-components. Thus, a stable carrier can be reproduced, because the reference carrier is reproduced by using demodulated data obtained from diversity-synthesized received data.
