PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share a signal-processing circuit by different transmission capacities. SOLUTION: STS-3 signals inputted by 78M×2 parallel signals are converted into 19M×8 parallel signals in a serial/parallel converter 30, and the number of signal lines is turned to the same as the 78M×8 parallel signals of STS-12 signals. A selector 32 respectively selects the 78M×8 parallel signals of STS-12 or the 19M×8 parallel signals of STS-3, corresponding to whether it is an STS-12 mode or an STS-3 mode and supplies them to a signal-processing part 34. The selector 38 selects 78M clocks or 19M clocks, corresponding to whether it is the STS-12 mode or the STS-3 mode and supplies them to the signal- processing part 34.
