<p>2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazoles have the general formula (I). In (I), X = H, halogen selected from chlorine or bromine, 1-18C linear or branched alkyl group, alkoxyl group, cyano group; R = H, 1-18C linear or branched 1-18C alkyl group, 2-18C alkenyl group, alkinyl group, 5-18C cycloalkyl (opt. substd.), 7-15C alkylaryl group, 6-14C aryl group (opt. substd.), 1-18C alkoxyl group, heterocyclic group with 5 or 6 atoms containing at least one heteroatom selected from oxygen, nitrogen, and sulphur (opt. subst.), a group of formula -C(O)H (II), -COR4 group, -NR6R6 group, ester group of formula -C(O)OR' (III), -CH2CH2C(O)OR' (IV), -CH2CH2COC(O)OR' (V), amide group of formula -CH2CH2C(O)NHR' (VI), 4,4'-ethylidenebisphenol group of formula (VII); R4, R5, R6, R' = 1-18C linear or branched alkyl group, 2-18C linear or branched alkenyl group, alkinyl group, 5-18C cycloalkyl group (opt. substd.), 7-15C arylalkyl or alkylaryl group, 6-14C aryl group (opt. substd.), heterocyclic group with 5 or 6 atoms containing at least one heteroatom selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur (opt. substd.); R1 = 1-18C linear or branched alkyl group, 2-18C linear or branched alkenyl group, alkinyl group, 5-18C cycloalkyl group (opt. substd.), 7-15C arylalkyl or alkylaryl group, 6-14C aryl group (opt. substd.), heterocyclic group with 5 or 6 atoms containing at least one heteroatom selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur (opt. subst.), acyl group of formula R'C(O)- (VIII), ester group of formula R'OC(O)- (IX); R2, R3 = 1-18C linear or branched alkyl group, phenyl group, heterocyclic group with 5 or 6 atoms containing at least one heteroatom selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur (opt. subst.). Also claimed are a process for the preparation of 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazoles, a polymeric composition and a use of the polymeric composition.</p> |
