PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that copes with plural broadcast systems including a stereoscopic broadcast system and displays the broadcast systems visually for a user. SOLUTION: A video signal corresponding to a broadcast system 1 is received through a signal line L2 as an input and a video signal corresponding to a broadcast system 2 or a stereoscopic broadcast system is received through a signal line L1 as an input. A synchronizing separator circuit 3 separates and outputs a vertical synchronizing signal of the video signal received through the signal line L1. A discrimination circuit 4 discriminates the broadcast system of the video data to be reproduced and displayed based on the vertical synchronizing signal outputted from the synchronizing separator circuit 3. Based on the discrimination result, a broadcast system display circuit 5 displays the broadcast system of the video image to be reproduced and displayed. Moreover, a video image reproduction display device 6 displays the video image on a monitor based on the result of discrimination. |
