A control panel for an NC machine tool includes an audio memory (41), an input-output controller (42), an audio amplifier (43), and a speaker (45). The audio memory stores various programs such as starting-up procedure, operating procedure, and warnings of possible problems. The input-output controller controls access to the memory to select the required program according to the code signal input from the panel. The audio output allows use of the machine by an unexperenced operator and gives audible warnings through the speaker via the audio amplifier. |
