PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce smell emitted from fixed toner and to improve the installation environment of a copying machine by scattering a microcapsule incorporating substance adsorbing the smell on transfer paper before fixing and rupturing the microcapsule by heat or pressure at the time of fixing. SOLUTION: The granular smell adsorbing substance 2 is enclosed in the microcapsule 1, and an outer layer is constituted of a thin coating film. Porous substance having large surface area such as activated carbon is used as the substance 2. The scattered microcapsule 1 and toner 14 are stuck to the transfer paper 13 before fixing. At the time of passing through a nip, the transfer paper 13 is heated and pressured by a fixing roller 11 and a pressure roller 12 so as to fix an image. Simultaneously, the coating film of the scattered microcapsule 1 is ruptured and the incorporated substance 2 is exposed on the paper 13. The substance 2 deodorizes the paper 13 while it passes through an ejected paper carrying path after passing a fixing mechanism. |
