PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select and provide information effective to a user from among traffic information, warning information, and guide information by displaying the traffic information and synthesizing it with a voice only when the position data of traffic information data are made coincident with present position data obtained by a GPS receiver in a prescribed range. SOLUTION: In the receiver of an FM multiplex broadcast for multiplexing data on FM voice broadcasting, and broadcasting it, a multiplexed signal reproducing part 5 reproduces data from a reception signal, and a character displaying part 6 displays the characters of the reproduced data, and a voice synthesizing circuit 7 synthesizes the characters of the reproduced data with a voice, and outputs it. On the other hand, a GPS receiver 9 measures the present position of a receiver loaded on a vehicle. Then, when the reproduced data obtained by the multiplexed signal reproducing part 5 are traffic information data, and only when the position data of the traffic information data are made coincident with the present position data obtained by a GPS receiver 9 in a prescribed range based on a compared result obtained by a comparison operation processing part 11, the traffic information is displayed at the character displaying part 6, and the traffic information is synthesized with a voice by the voice synthesizing circuit 7. |
