PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate in which minute black spot defects, especially produced in a nonimage part, can be suppressed without damaging a good image having no fog or thinning of lines which is characteristic to reverse development. SOLUTION: This lithographic printing plate is produced by applying a coating liquid for a photoconductive layer on a conductive base body and drying, and the lithographic printing plate is obtd. by forming a toner image by an electrophotographic method in an exposed part as reverse development and then dissolving a nonimage part to remove. In this method, the conductive supporting body shows 1.0 to 2.5μm center line height Rp in the measurement of surface roughness by using a tracer-type surface roughness meter with 1-μm tracer radius. The printing plate is produced by applying a coating liquid for a photoconductive layer having <=0.5% water content just before application.
