PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely grasp the exchange history of a toner cartridge by examining whether or not a toner cartridge is exchanged at the time of supplying power and detecting the opening/closing of a cover and automatically preserving data on the number of sheets stored in a printer device in the case of confirming that the cartridge is exchanged. SOLUTION: In the printer device B01, a device control part B04 compares and collates the data N4 on the number of printed sheets stored in an incorporated EEPROM part B42 with the data N2 on the number of printed sheets stored in an EEPROM part B22 incorporated in the toner cartridge B21 at the time of supplying the power or detecting the opening/closing of the cover. When a difference between them exceeds a previously set value, the exchange of the cartridge B21 is detected and the data N4 on the number of sheets stored in the printer device B01 is moved to a history preservation area. In the case of confirming the exchange of the cartridge B21, the data N4 on the number of sheets stored in the device B01 is preserved as a part of data on the working circumstances of the device B01. |
