The drive system has a gear changing box with a control unit (1). The control unit (1) stands in operational communication (5,9,14,10) with a brake (2) of the vehicle in such a manner, for obtaining a parking block, where this is only activated by the control unit (1), with gearbox settings requiring a parking block. The brake (2) is the hand brake of the vehicle. The operating connection includes a pivotable jointed spring system (14) with two self-arresting dead point stops (11,12). One (12) of which is assigned to the activated and the other (11) to the deactivated condition of the brake (2).
