Controlled cyclic variation in electrical lighting level

The lighting elements, e.g. incandescent, LED, are supplied with variable power that is controlled by a microcontroller (mu C) that operates to a program that is stored in an EPROM memory. The controller outputs pulse width modulated commands to power drive stages supplying the lighting units. The lighting level can be cyclically varied in a number of programmed ways, e.g. triangular ramp up and down.
