<p>The pliers consist of a body (1), which is fitted with a fixed branch (10), with a grip handle (13) at one end. A second branch (11), which also has a similar grip handle (14), is designed to move, relative to the body, around a pivot axis (12). A knee mechanism (22) is added to transform the rotational movement of the second branch, into translational movement of the blade (8). The two branches of the pliers are sufficiently close together to allow them to be gripped and used in one hand. The moving branch is designed to be close enough to the fixed branch to allow operation by the contraction of the fingers towards the palm. The hand action produces a sliding motion in the blade, through a pivot axis (29), from a control link arm (23), which is fitted so as to rotate, relative to the body, around a fixed pivot (28), when activated by a push rod (24), from the second branch.</p> |
