PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording liquid, usable in an environment at a lower temperature than a use environmental temperature range and capable of directly carrying out the printing even just after preservation in the environment at the low temperature and further movement to a place at the use environmental temperature by preventing the recording liquid from freezing even by preservation at a specific temperature. SOLUTION: This recording liquid has properties without freezing even preservation at -20 deg.C. The recording liquid is preferably composed of at least a pigment, a dispersing agent, water and a water-soluble organic solvent. Furthermore, the content of the water-soluble organic solvent is 30-60wt.% based on the recording liquid and the water-soluble organic solvent contains propylene glycol. The content of the propylene glycol is at least 50wt.% based on water in the recording liquid. The recording liquid is preferably the one, etc., having 35-65wt.% content of the water-soluble organic solvent based on the recording liquid and containing trimethylene glycol as the water-soluble organic solvent with at least 60wt.% content of the trimethylene glycol based on water in the recording liquid. A usual polymeric dispersing agent, a surfactant, etc., can be used as the dispersing agent. |
