<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve interruption of straight sheet discharge without causing sheet jam even in the case where sheets exist on a staple tray. SOLUTION: A sheet post-processing device is provided with a first carrier passage A to directly introduce a sheet to a sheet discharge tray, a second carrier passage B to introduce it to a staple tray 20, and a third carrier passage C to switch back the sheet entering the second carrier passage B to be combined with the first carrier passage A. The staple tray 20 is provided with a vertically movable sheet discharge claw 13. A brush roller 8' is provided to face the staple tray 20. In the case of interruption of a straight sheet discharge, a sheet is moved down to a position where a back end of the sheet on the staple tray is not in contact with the brush roller 8'. After completion of interruption, the sheet is returned to an original position.</p> |
