PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rotation by providing a thrust portion having a bearing ring in the radial direction made of a metal thin sheet, a peripheral lip in the axial direction extended along one of the inner diameter and outer diameter, and a tab extended from it and coupled with a backup member at an intermediate portion in the radial direction and a blade-shaped portion perpendicular to it. SOLUTION: A thrust washer 20 made of a metal thin sheet is provided with a ring-like thrust portion 22 faced in the radial direction, a bearing ring 26 on one side, and a backup face 27 on the other side. A peripheral lip 28 in the axial direction is extended along the outer diameter of the thrust portion 22 and connected at a rounded portion 30. A tab 36 is extended from the peripheral lip 28, and it is provided with an intermediate portion 38 in the radial direction and at least one blade-like portion 40 extended perpendicularly to it. The flat and smooth surface of the blade-like portion 40 is meshed with the recess of a backup member, and the rotation of the thrust washer 20 against the backup member can be prevented. This mechanism is useful for the purpose to use the backup face 27 softer than hardened steel. |
