A phased array antenna (1) having separately controllable, regularly space antenna elements (2), the spacing (d) between the antenna elements (2) being such that the period of the array factor of the antenna (1) extends outside the visible region of the antenna (1), is calibrated in that the antenna elements (2) are controlled by a control unit (4) to produce an antenna pattern corresponding to a desired antenna pattern within predetermined limits at at least two different scan angles. |
